NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 20-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint and trying to rape her in Brooklyn last week, police said.
Seth Roman, 20, of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with attempted rape, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, sexual abuse, forcible touching and menacing on Sunday evening, the NYPD said.
Police said a 38-year-old woman was in front of a building on Crystal Street, near Pitkin Avenue, in Cypress Hills around 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 10 when Roman approached her from behind with a gun.
Roman then allegedly attacked the woman, stole $12 from her, told her to get on the ground and pulled down her pants, the NYPD said. He fled after they had "a brief verbal exchange," police said.
Roman's attorney information wasn't immediately available on Monday.
