NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a young man who pulled a box-cutter on a woman in midtown and robbed her in the middle of the day.
The 28-year-old woman was robbed at 11:30 a.m. Thursday on West 51st Street, near 10th Avenue, police said.
The woman was walking down the sidewalk when the man came up from behind her and grabbed her by the neck.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD Friday shows the man flashing the box-cutter and threatening to slash the woman with it while demanding her valuables.
The suspect searched the woman’s pockets and got away with her cell phone.
