TRENTON, NJ (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Phil Murphy reported 11 new COVID-19 deaths and 416 new positive cases on Tuesday, a day after New Jersey tightened its restrictions on indoor gatherings.
A total of 13,982 people in New Jersey have now died of COVID-19, and 182,970 tests have come back positive, Murphy said on Twitter.
New Jersey is also investigating 1,875 probable COVID-19 deaths, according to the state's COVID-19 tracker. Its rate of transmission currently stands at 1.41.
On Monday, Murphy reduced the number of people allowed at indoor gatherings, with a few exceptions, citing an increase in the state's COVID-19 transmission rate.
