NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York state is rolling out a national ad campaign urging Americans to wear masks, featuring stars including Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Ellen Pompeo, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday.
The 30-second television spots, directed by Academy Award-winner Kathryn Bigelow and produced by Tribeca Enterprises' Jane Rosenthal, are part of a "Mask Up America" campaign aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19, Cuomo said in a release.
Videos narrated by actors Morgan Freeman and Jeffrey Wright have already been posted online (watch Freeman's above).
The state will release six additional videos throughout July, featuring actors Kaitlyn Dever, Jamie Foxx, John Leguizamo, Anthony Mackie, Rosie Perez and Ellen Pompeo, the release says.
