NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a Queens man on Friday who worked as a community school director for the United Federation of Teachers after he allegedly attempted to meet a boy he believed was 14-years-old for sex.

Court documents state that over the past few weeks, 41-year-old Jason Seto was having sexually explicit chats on a dating app.

The person Seto was chatting with was actually an NYPD detective in a sting with a local federal task force working to capture people that exploit children.

Seto worked as a United Federation of Teacher community school director and worked with children at P.S. 48 in the South Bronx where he helped coordinate after school programs.

Police say they arrested Seto at La Guardia Airport where he allegedly planned to meet with the teen boy after describing plans for sexual acts. According to a UFT spokesman, Seto has been suspended without pay given the "very serious nature of the allegations".

“Mr. Seto was immediately suspended from his role when we were made aware of these deeply disturbing allegations," said Danielle Filson, the Department of Education spokesperson in a statement. "He is not a DOE employee and will remain suspended pending the outcome of this case."

Seto was charged with enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity which carries a penalty of up to 15 years.

He is currently being held without bail and will be back in court onWednesday.
