NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Robert Williams, 45, pleaded not guilty at the Bronx Supreme Court on Wednesday in connection with the targeted attacks against Bronx police officers last month.
Williams was indicted on 52 counts including attempted murder for shooting at two NYPD Officers who were inside a marked van, and for opening fire inside the 41st Precinct stationhouse, targeting cops and a civilian.
There was a big police presence at the arraignment including members of the Police Benevolent Association and PBA President Patrick J. Lynch.
Officials arrested Williams on Feb. 9, after a second NYPD officer was shot at a Bronx precinct, hours after the gunman shot and wounded an officer in an "assassination attempt" on a patrol van in the same precinct, police said.
Williams is accused of ambushing NYPD officers twice within 12-hours and was charged with attempted murder, criminal weapon possession and resisting arrest.

Officer Paul Stroffolino was grazed on the neck and chin by bullets and later struck Lt. Jose Gautreaux in the upper left arm, authorities said.
