NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a group of people who they say chased a man into a Queens 7-Eleven then beat and stabbed him.
The 25-year-old victim wasn't being cooperative with police after the attack last Friday night in Astoria, according to police.
The victim was chased into the 7-Eleven at 30th Street and 30th Avenue. Police say he tried to hide behind a counter but that people in the group beat him with a coffee pot.
One of the suspects beat the man with a liquor bottle multiple times until it broke, then stabbed the victim in the chest with it, according to police.
Officers eventually arrived and the group scattered.
The victim was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The NYPD released images of the suspects on Saturday.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
