Police investigating two gay pride flags set on fire in Harlem

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) A man walked outside the Alibi Lounge on 7th Avenue in Harlem and set fire to two gay pride flags outside marking June at gay pride month.

There was no damage to the building and nobody was injured.


This happened early last Friday morning and there is video of the suspect.

Video shows the suspect making sure both flags were on fire before fleeing.

Gov. Cuomo said he is asking the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to assist the NYPD.
