Police looking for suspect seen on video punching 71-year-old woman in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance video and photos Monday of a suspected wanted for punching a 71-year-old woman in Brooklyn.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 in front of 532 New York Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.


A man approached the victim and punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground.

He then calmly walked away as if nothing had happened.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition, where she remained for several days, and was treated with a broken jaw and lacerations to the mouth.

The attack happened just two blocks from a local police precinct.
