NYPD searching for man who jumped from Verrazzano Bridge

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man who jumped from the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge early Monday morning, leaving a car with Taxi & Limousine Commission license plates idling, the NYPD said.

The 36-year-old man jumped from the upper level of the bridge connecting Brooklyn and Staten Island around 4:15 a.m., police said.

A grey Toyota Camry with TLC plates was parked in the right lane of the bridge with its flashers on when officers arrived at the scene, the NYPD said.
