NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned down an invitation to present the Oscar for Best Picture at Sunday's awards ceremony in Los Angeles, HELLO! reported Friday

"They were honored by the request, but declined the invitation," a source told the British magazine of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Presenting at the Academy Awards would undoubtedly be one of the most profile engagement for the royal couple since they stepped back from the official royal family duties last month.

Since then, they have been in living in a mansion on Vancouver Island, off the coast of British Columbia, Canada.

News of the invite comes the same day that it emerged that the couple attended an event for JP Morgan in Miami Thursday.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes declined to comment.
