Recalled items by T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods sold in NYC, Long Island

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Sen. Chuck Schumer warned consumers during a press conference Sunday that stores including TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls are selling recalled products in New York City and on Long Island.

The recalled items were sold at more than 3,200 stores across the U.S. and include toys, electronics and baby sleepers that may end up in your hands or under your Christmas tree this holiday season.Schumer will call for a federal investigation by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) into TJX Companies Inc., the owner of all three stores nationwide.

"Feds must unrwrap how holiday bargains were allowed to become dangerous gifts in the first place," Schumer said during the press conference. He also demanded immediate consequences, including company outreach to consumers and full refunds, and called for the CPSC to begin formal investigation to prevent this from occurring in future.
