NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 7-year-old boy is in critical condition Thursday morning after being struck by a driver in Sunset Park, Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened at 56th Street near Fifth Avenue, when the victim, Steve Sanfilippo was heading to visit his grandmother with his twin brother.
Sanfilippo is at NYU Langone with a head injury and a broken leg but is expected to pull through.
The 28-year old driver was taken into custody.
He was driving without a license, or with a suspected one, police say.
