NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A severe thunderstorm watch is effect for the New York City area until 10 p.m., the National Weather Service announced Thursday afternoon.
"Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms along the front will be moving east through southern New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut this evening. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather," the NWS tweeted.
