NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A small fire broke out in a mechanical room at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on Thursday morning.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but smoke filled the south end of the terminal forcing commuters to evacuate the area.

No one was injured, the smoke cleared out by 9 a.m. and the terminal was fully reopened.
