NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Department of Sanitation may have issued a snow alert for tomorrow night out of an abundance of caution but there is white stuff in the forecast.
"NYC Sanitation has issued a Snow Alert for Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 6 pm," reads a tweet from the municpal department. "Our snow fighting equipment will be ready for any winter weather coming our way."
Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and quite cold, with a low of 21 degrees in the city.
Wednesday will be very cold with plenty of clouds, with a high near 30.
There will be occasional snow or flurries Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. Some northern New Jersey, Hudson Valley and Connecticut suburbs could see an inch or so with slippery travel, and the snow might end as a little freezing drizzle. The low tomorrow night 28.
Thursday will remain mainly cloudy, but not as cold.
The snow will return on Friday, with another period of snow or flurries possible in the morning, according to AccuWeather. High near 40 degrees.
