At least 4 men wanted after subway newsstand robbed at knifepoint

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a group of men accused of robbing a subway newsstand at knifepoint Sunday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:25 p.m., at the Lexington Avenue and 59th Street station, according to authorities.

Officials say at least four men were involved in the robbery in which one of them stole a bag of chips. Two other men blocked the cashier while another went behind the counter.

One of the men displayed a knife during the robbery, police say.

The group fled south on the northbound platform.

No injuries were reported in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.
