NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who police say attempted to rape a 37-year-old woman in Queens was arrested.
Police arrested 20-year-old Kasy Brooks, from Queens and have charged him with attempted rape, forcible touching and sexual misconduct.
NYPD received a report of an attempted rape that occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Seagirt Ave and Beach 9th Street.
The victim was followed from the bus stop and forcibly grabbed from behind and pushed down to the ground reports say.
The suspect pulled down her pants, pulled his shorts down and exposed himself.
She fought him back and he ran off.
The Daily News reports that Brooks has been arrested five times before for offenses that include robbery, gang assault and possession of a forged instrument but this is the first time he's been accused of a sex crime.
