NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three suspects are sought by police after a teen was stabbed on while attempting to protect his friend in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
Officials say just before 2:30 p.m. on 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge the 16-year-old victim was walking with friends when a dispute involving three other teens broke out.
According to WABC-TV, a nearby UPS deliveryman heard the commotion and ran to stop the altercation.
The teen was protecting his friend from being attacked when he was stabbed in the shoulder, police said.
He was taken to an are hospital and expected to survive.Police say one suspect fled eastbound on Senator Street is described as a Hispanic male and was last seen dressed in a camel jacket and black-hooded shirt.
