NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two NYPD officers have been suspended for allegedly failing to take "appropriate action" at the scene of a brutal ax murder in Brooklyn, News 4 reports.
News 4 said sources told it that the officers held on too long before going into the apartment where the grisly murder took place.
Twenty-year-old Savannah Rivera died in the apartment where she was almost decapidated and her friend, Angela Valle, is hospitalized in critical condition with severe injuries.
The father of Valle's 4-year-old daughter was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and three other charges in relation to the attack.
