VIDEO: Gunman sought in point-blank killing of Bronx teen

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police released shocking video Sunday as they search for the gunman who shot and killed a 17-year-old Bronx boy at point-blank range in broad daylight this past week.

The NYPD video shows the teenage victim crawling on the sidewalk Thursday afternoon after being shot in the foot. The masked and hooded gunman then comes up and shoots him in the head before running away.

A second video shows the gunman’s suspected accomplice, also masked, walking down Southern Boulevard after the shooting, police said.

Police said the victim, Kether Werts of the Bronx, was on Hoe Avenue in Crotona around 4:45 p.m. Thursday when he was shot. He was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

The video shows a chaotic scene on the street as Werts and others scramble for cover when the shooting erupts. It's unclear if anyone else was shot.
