NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Harvey Weinstein had a heart surgery on Wednesday and is awaiting a transfer to Rikers Island according to the New York Post.

The report adds that Weinstein "had a heart stent put in last night" and that "he’s nervous but he isn’t in control and has to deal with it."

After he was convicted of rape and criminal sexual act last month, Weinstein suffered heart palpitations and high blood pressure and was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

67-year-old Weinstein is reported to be in stable condition, and will be transferred to the North Infirmary at Rikers.

Weinstein faces up to 29 years in prison and will be sentenced on March 11 at the Manhattan Supreme Court.
