
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was struck and killed by a train during the Monday morning rush.

It happened in Brooklyn, at 4th Ave and 59th Street at 8:15 a.m. It was initially reported that the woman was struck while picking up her phone, but authorities now say she was killed in an apparent suicide.
The woman, in her 30s or 40s, was hit by a northbound R train.
The FDNY received a call for someone in cardiac arrest.
Regular service resumed following suspensions and delays caused by the incident, but the MTA is warning of residual delays.
