Kent Feuerring, 57, was the sole occupant of a 2022 Seamax M-22 plane that crashed into Three Mile Harbor to the north of East Hampton around 12:30 p.m., authorities said.

Witnesses saw a wing break off of the fuselage before the two-seater plane spiraled into the water, according to police.

The Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board and East Hampton Town Police Department are carrying out a joint investigation into the crash.

On his LinkedIn page, Feuerring identifies himself as an advertising executive and producer, as well as “an avid pilot of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.”

He’s been working in advertising for the past 25 years with experience producing ads for big-name clients like Cadillac, Tylenol, Lockheed Martin and Kawasaki.
