
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Suffolk County police are investigating after a 13-year-old boy was shot in his front yard on Long Island Saturday evening.
The boy was on the front lawn of his residence, located on Pheasant Circle in Brentwood, when the shooting occurred at about 6:45 p.m., police said.
He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear, and police have yet to make an arrest.
The attack comes a day after another teen boy, 19-year-old Sean Mills, was fatally shot while attending a party outside of a Long Island home. A 17-year-old girl was also injured in that incident.
