Couple arrested for running cocaine operation inside LI apartment: DA

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Long Island couple is accused of using their Lake Ronkonkoma apartment to run a major cocaine operation, Suffolk County District Attorney Tim Sini announced.

Kobaski Claros, 31, and his girlfriend Maria Rivera, 24, were arrested and are currently being held on bond for millions of dollars.

WABC 7 reports law enforcement seized 1.5 kilos of cocaine — worth more than $150,000 — and $13,000 in cash during their arrest.

An investigation into their operation reportedly began last March and utilized undercover officers and confidential informants.

Claros is being held on a $3 million bond and reportedly had previous felony arrests. Rivera is being held on a $2 million bond.
