Duo steals $250K in jewelry from NJ home, suspects sought

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Two men are being sought by New Jersey police for stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry from a New Jersey home a day after Christmas, police said.

The suspects were caught on surveillance video walking out of a wooded area of the West Farms Road home in Howell around 1:23 p.m. Monday, authorities said.

The pair had forced their way into the unoccupied house through a rear door. One of the thieves was seen on camera grabbing jewelry from the homeowner’s bedroom, according to officials.

According to News 12 New Jersey, the value of the stolen jewelry is $250,000. The homeowners are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the men’s arrest, the outlet added.
