HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A Long Island hotel employee died after falling out of a window at the Hyatt Regency Long Island in Hauppauge on Saturday night, Suffolk County Police said.
Cops said David Lerner, 41, was working at the hotel located on the Long Island Motor Parkway at around 7:30 p.m. when he fell to the ground from an upper floor window.
He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Suffolk County Police Homicide are investigating the incident.
