LINDEN, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Funeral services will be held later this week for the Linden, New Jersey, mother and her two teenagers killed in a murder-suicide, the city's mayor said Monday.
According to Linden Mayor Derek Armstead, Justyna Nieroda, 41, her son Sebastian, 14, and her daughter Natalia, 13, will be remembered at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home on East Saint George Avenue in Linden from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral mass at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Linden at 10 a.m. on Friday, followed by a burial at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia at 12 p.m.
NJ.com reported that a separate funeral service will be held Saturday for 41-year-old Krzysztof Nieroda, who authorities say shot his wife and two children before killing himself.
Linden Police Department officers responded to the family's home on Chatham Place around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 19 after receiving a request to conduct a welfare check on the family, according to police.

Upon their arrival, they located Krzysztof, his wife Justyna and the couple's daughter Natalia, all dead from gunshot wounds.
The couple's son, Sebastian, was found alive but in critical condition. He was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he ultimately died.
An investigation revealed that Krzysztof shot his wife, son and daughter early Sunday morning. He then called a family member and confessed, before killing himself soon after with a single gunshot to the head. The weapon was located in Krzysztof's hand when authorities arrived, police said.
A motive behind the incident was not immediately made clear by authorities.

"Justyna was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all," wrote Julita Laskowska, who identified herself as Justyna's sister in a GoFundMe post seeking donations for funeral and memorial expenses. "I am lucky to have called her my sister because she was caring, thoughtful, honest, and full of life."
"Sebastian and Natalia brought so much joy to everyone around them and had a bright future ahead of them. I will always cherish them and the beautiful memories will live through us forever," Laskowska said on the page. "Please keep Justyna, Sebastian, and Natalia in your prayers. May this unfortunate time bring us together to help heal our family, friends, and community."
The fundraiser, which has since closed, raised over $85,000.
