NASSAU COUNTY, L.I. (1010 WINS) — A Hicksville man broke into a woman's home on Sunday and sexually assaulted her, Nassau County Police said.
The suspect, Carlos Villeda, allegedly illegally entered the East Street home of the 42-year-old victim just after 9 p.m. and began forcibly touching and inappropriately grabbing her, police said.
Villeda left after the victim requested he go. She then locked the door behind him and called the police, officials said.
Authorities found Villeda in front of a residence on Park Avenue after an investigation and took him into custody.
Villeda was charged with 2nd degree burglary and forcible touching. He was arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
