WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — An employee of a Long Island recycling plant was killed Monday in an industrial accident, police said.
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was an employee of Omni Recycling in West Babylon.
Suffolk County police said the victim was struck by a payloader around 1 p.m.
It was unclear Tuesday what led to the fatal accident.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified of the incident, police said.
