NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two people were killed and three more were injured — including an 11-year-old boy — in two separate shootings across the Bronx Saturday night, police said.
A shooter brought chaos at a cookout in Claremont Park, where four people were shot shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night, according to police.
A 22-year-old man, shot in his torso, was transported to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
An 11-year-old boy was shot in his shoulder; a 24-year-old woman was shot twice in her torso and another 22-year-old man was shot in his leg. The boy and 22-year-old are in stable condition at local hospitals.
The woman was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where she is in critical condition, according to police.
About 45 minutes earlier around 10:35 p.m, police found another man fatally shot in a West Bronx apartment from an unrelated shooting, cops said.
Officers responding to a 911 assault call found a 26-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive in the hallway of an apartment at 3400 Wickham Avenue.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead, police said.
