2 men in SUV with Florida plates sought in Bronx fatal shooting: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released photos of two men and an SUV that are sought in connection with the shooting death of a man in the Bronx in late January, authorities said.

At approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, police responded to a 911 call of a man shot in front of a building on East 139th Street near Bruckner Boulevard in the Mott Haven section.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his torso and legs.

EMS transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the two suspects exited 805 East 139th St. and entered a dark-color Honda CRV.

According to police, the second suspect drove the Honda CRV vehicle while the first suspect discharged a handgun from the passenger side, striking the victim.

The men fled in the vehicle which had a Florida registration and distinctive stickers on the trunk, the NYPD said.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
