NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for an attacker in a double stabbing that occurred aboard a train at Grand Central station Wednesday morning.

At about 7:20 a.m., officers responded to a call of two men stabbed on the mezzanine of the station.

Upon arrival, officials found a 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man stabbed in the abdomen and buttock, officials said.

According to police, the 32-year-old man got into an argument with the suspect on a southbound 5 train. He then pulled out a knife and stabbed him as well as the 28-year-old man, who appeared to be a bystander on the train, cops said.

The second victim was able to flag down an MTA officer after the train pulled into the station.

The victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.

It is unclear if the victims knew the attacker.

The investigation is ongoing.
