NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Two Queens deli workers were charged with attacking a drunken man who barged into their business early Sunday, police said Monday.

The 31-year-old was intoxicated, rowdy and causing a scene around 5:15 a.m. inside Pickles & Pies market and deli on Beach 116th Street in Rockaway Park.

The man was cursing and yelling when two employees got physical with him, according to police, who said one of the workers choked him.

Emergency responders found the man unconscious and transported him to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

Jorge Hernandez, 23, was charged with strangulation, assault and harassment, while Saber Abuhamra, 34, was booked on charges of assault and harassment.

A man who said he's a manager at the deli didn't want to speak about the incident on Monday.
