NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A suspect was arrested after two men were assaulted—beaten, choked and bitten—in Central Park early Monday morning in apparently random attacks.

The first victim, an 18-year-old man, was punched, kicked and choked shortly before 1:30 a.m. at West Drive and West 62nd Street, according to police.

The second victim, a 37-year-old man, was then assaulted at West Drive and West 93rd Street. He was knocked to the ground and bitten in the ear, police said.

Both victims were hospitalized in stable condition at Mount Sinai Morningside.

Police searched the park and ultimately arrested David Luciano, 27, charing him with two counts each of assault and criminal obstruction of breathing, as well as petit larceny, as a bicycle was allegedly stolen in one of the attacks.

Police said the attacks appear to be random and Luciano, who is believed to be homeless, would undergo a psychiatric evaluation at a hospital.
