NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A second suspect has been arrested on more than a half-dozen charges in connection with the rape of a woman during a Brooklyn home invasion late last month, police said Thursday.
Mohammed Alwi, 25, of Canarsie, was arrested and charged Wednesday with rape, robbery, sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching, menacing, assault and harassment.
Alwi's arrest comes after Mohammed Izzeddin, 22, of Bay Ridge, was arrested last Thursday and charged with the same eight crimes.

The connection between the two suspects isn't known, but investigators believe they stormed the 49-year-old woman's home at 59th Street and Ninth Avenue in Borough Park on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 23.
Once inside, they forced the woman to have sex with one of them before they fled, police said.
The woman's condition wasn't reported by the NYPD.
It's also unclear what items the pair allegedly stole from the home.
