NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Three men were indicted for the murder of a 37-year-old man as part of a dispute over drug money in East Harlem last year, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.

Terrence Haynes, 43, Shaun McClam, 40, and Luis Roman, 28, all conspired to kill Timothy Parker in October 2022, according to prosecutors.

All four men had lived or were living at or near the NYCHA George Washington Houses in East Harlem at the time.

Haynes, who was incarcerated, had an ongoing dispute with Parker over drugs and money he thought he was owed. He allegedly contacted McClam and Roman over the phone in September 2022 and asked them to retaliate against Parker.

On Oct. 24, 2022, Roman got a gun from McClam and staked out Parker’s building while disguised.

Later that night around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, McClam fatally shot Parker in the head outside his apartment.

All three defendants face charges for conspiracy. McClam and Roman were also charged with murder and weapon possession.

“For several weeks these defendants carefully plotted to murder Timothy Parker before fatally shooting him last fall,” said Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. “We see time and time again the countless lives that are taken due to gun violence and we stand at the ready to prosecute those who commit these acts of violence.”
