NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released photos on Tuesday of three suspects wanted in connection with an attempted knifepoint and gunpoint moped theft in the Bronx.

The theft happened on Nov. 2 at around 3:40 a.m., when a 34-year-old Bronx man saw three unidentified men breaking the chain securing his moped, which was parked in front of his residence near Walton Avenue and Hawkstone Street, according to police.


The victim then confronted the suspects, and during the altercation, one suspect displayed a knife while another brandished a small firearm.

The trio then fled the scene on the victim's moped, which was later recovered near 105 East 192nd Street, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspects as males approximately 20 to 25 years old, with light to medium complexions and thin builds.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, black sneakers, and a black face mask under his chin. The second suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black and red sneakers. The third suspect was last seen in a red hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, black and white sneakers, and a black mask under his chin.
