3 suspects, vehicle sought in gunpoint robbery on Brooklyn street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for three suspects and a vehicle in connection to a gunpoint robbery that occurred on a Brooklyn street last month, authorities said.

It happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, in front of 917 Flushing Ave. in East Williamsburg, cops said.


According to police, a 20-year-old man was entering his vehicle when he was approached by one of the suspects on foot.

The suspect displayed a firearm at the victim while demanding property.

As a physical struggle ensued between the two and the suspect discharged one round, striking the victim's vehicle only, officials said.

The suspect then stole the victim's cellphone before fleeing into a white four door sedan that fled westbound on Flushing Avenue.

There was an unknown driver and passenger inside of the white sedan at the time of the incident, the NYPD said.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene by EMS.

Additionally, the male victim was accompanied by a 23-year-old male at the time of the incident who was not injured.
