
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD launched an investigation after three people were injured in two separate shootings in Brooklyn that took place an hour apart.
At about 11:30 p.m., police responded to 530 Herzl St. in Brownsville where one man was shot in the chest and another was shot in the neck.
Both victims were taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center via private means and are in stable condition.
The first shooting happened an hour earlier at 10:30 p.m. at 959 Belmont Ave. in East New York.
According to officials, a 30-year-old man was shot in the right knee. EMS transported him to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
It is unclear what led up to the shootings. An investigation is ongoing.
