NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after four NYPD officers were injured in a car crash in the Bronx early Sunday morning.
The crash happened just after 1 a.m. near Soundview and Seward avenues in Soundview, police said.
According to police, a marked NYPD vehicle was responding to a call for backup and was traveling eastbound on Seaview Avenue with its lights and sirens on when it was struck by an oncoming vehicle traveling northbound.
Four officers suffered minor injuries, cops said.
The 25-year-old driver of the other vehicle was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated for back pain.
