
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — At minimum four people, including at least one NYPD officer, were injured in a shooting at a Brooklyn subway station on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
It happened at the Sutter Avenue subway station near the intersection of Van Sinderen and Sutter avenues at about 3 p.m., officials said. The station borders both the Brownsville and East New York neighborhoods.
The NYPD confirmed that at least one officer was injured in the shooting, and the FDNY said that at least four people total were hurt.
All of the wounded were transported to local area hospitals, and their conditions were not immediately known.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not yet clear.
An investigation is ongoing.
