NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Cops are searching for four thieves who robbed a high-end diamond jewelry store Friday afternoon, stealing over $2 million worth of items.

The incident happened around 2:38 p.m. at Rocco’s Jewelry at 2521 Webster Avenue in Fordham. A store employee buzzed in one man who then held the door open for three more men, police said.
After getting inside, the three thieves used a hammer to smash open the display cases and take a large amount of diamond jewelry before fleeing the scene, officials said.

The crew made away with about $2.15 million in jewelry. No injuries were reported as a result.
Cops said the first man who held the door open for the other three is described as being in his 20s with a dark complexion and slim build, wearing a black baseball hat, white t-shirt, black jeans, blacks sneakers and black sunglasses.

The other three men are also believed to be in their 20s, with dark complexions, slim builds, wearing all dark clothing, dark colored masks and gloves.
