NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for five people in connection with an attack on a food truck vendor near Washington Square Park last month.
The NYPD released surveillance images this weekend of the five people wanted for questioning after the June 27 attack.
Police said a 65-year-old man was working at a food truck on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Washington Square North around 10:20 p.m. when a group got into an argument with him.
The dispute escalated and the man was pushed and punched in the face, according to police, who said bottles were also thrown at him.
EMS transported the man to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for a head laceration and facial injuries, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
