NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Eight people were arrested at Trump Tower on Wednesday night as anti-Trump protesters took to the streets hours after a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol building.
About 100 people gathered near Trump's namesake tower around 9 p.m. Video shows some protesters scuffling with police, but the protest was said to be peaceful.
Six of those arrested were issued summonses for disorderly conduct, while two more were issued desk appearance tickets.
Citizen App video shows the crowd chanting outside the tower on Fifth Avenue. Another group of protesters were outside Trump International Hotel at Columbus Circle; no one in the second group was arrested.
