NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are looking to identify a group of eight suspects who they believe beat and robbed a boy of his Crocs in the Bronx last week.
It happened at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 when a 14-year-old boy was in the vicinity of Grand Concourse and East 149th Street in Mott Haven, authorities said.
According to officials, a group of suspects approached him and began a verbal dispute.
This escalated into a physical altercation, during which the group of suspects repeatedly punched and kicked the victim.
Acting in concert, one of the suspects forcibly took the teen boy's Crocs, cops said.
The suspects fled the location on foot to parts unknown.
The victim refused medical attention.
