
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An A train conductor was punched in the face by an irate commuter Saturday afternoon, delaying service along the line.

The male conductor and passenger got into a verbal dispute around 12:20 p.m. on the Canal St station platform before the rider proceeded to slug the MTA worker in the face, according to police.
The conductor was taken to a downtown hospital, police said.
A suspect was arrested at the scene.
The attack led to delays on both the A and D lines Saturday afternoon, according to the MTA.
