NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 25-year-old Amazon employee was charged for pulling the fire alarm, spraying a fire extinguisher and stealing coworkers' property on Friday at the Amazon facility in Bloomfield.

Some employees were injured when Myles Lightner caused a panicked evacuation around 6 a.m., according to police.

Lightner was arrested at the facility and charged with reckless endangerment and petit larceny.

Two employees said they saw him run off with a watch and phone. Both of the items were recovered when officers searched Lightner.

Ten people were evaluated for injury after the incident. Eight of those people refused medical attention and two were brought to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment.

"We’re thankful that no one was seriously injured during today's incident and for the quick work of emergency responders," said Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly in a statement. "As this is an active investigation, we will defer questions to the NYPD."
