NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man punched an MTA worker in the face at a Queens subway station this week—just the latest attack on an on-duty city transit employee in recent days.

The NYPD released images Tuesday of the man wanted for Sunday's attack at the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street station in Jackson Heights.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, was working at the station around 5:40 p.m. when he and his attacker got into an argument, police said.

As they were arguing, the man punched the worker in the face and then fled the scene, police said.

EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition with minor injuries.

The attack came just a few days after a man sucker-punched a subway conductor as an A-line train was arriving at the Beach 25th Street station in Far Rockaway last Thursday. Police released images of that suspect as well.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
